We went here to buy a new car. We have pretty bad credit, but they said they could still get us a car. Went in, found a car?? The salesman never really even tried to get us anything, he just took us straight to the Finance Office with the guy who looks like Tom Arnold. He’s the one who told us what car they would be bringing out.
Anyway, we test drive the car, agreed on it and a price, and they said we would need $1000 down. We didn’t have it, so they said they would make us a deal. If we could pay the $1000 within a few weeks, then we could go ahead and take the car home today. So we said ok. Once I got to looking over the paperwork, there is nowhere on it that says we are to put down $1000. We were told to lie to the bank when they called about how much we put down, which was much more than the $1000. We paid the down payment we agreed on, but the finance guy never wanted anything except cash, so I honestly believe he was pocketing that money. I will never go back there. There’s other issues I do not want to go into, frankly because I am afraid one of them will read this and know exactly who we are and somehow they will try to screw us in some other way. Be very wary of these people. They are unprofessional, and a bunch of crooks!
This place was my worst nightmare!! Took my 2003 ford taurus w/ 83000 miles in for generally running rough and needed new back brakes, also a thumping sound coming from the back end. MARK told my husband I needed springs in the back also brakes and drums, also said I needed ball joints on the front and a coil pack on motor, complete flush of all the fluids and oil change to the tune of $2355. We coughed at the price but were willing to pay thinking we were getting overpriced “QUALITY” work. We were sooo WRONG! Picked the car up 2 days later at 7pm with no srvice men there, well the thumping sound was still going on. I figued I would take it up there later, drove the car 5 days and went to leave work and had no gears and it was smoking. Had it towed back up there, this time they tell me I need torque converter on the trans, oil pan gasket and valve cover gasket to the tune of $3200. The torque converter I’m not upset about, they do just go out but they didnt notice the oil pan and valve cover gaskets leaking 5 days before??? We refused the work and asked them why they didnt notice the gaskets last week and we were told that “they can just start leaking”( another lie). We had NORTHTOWN transmission come tow it out of ther cause we felt like we couldnt trust them. Well the next day DAVE LESLIE calls me at work and offers to do the job for 1725 ( at cost) he says! That is an admission of guilt not change of heart!! I told him I did not even trust them to check the air in my tires. Northtown has since fixed the torque converter and will fix the gaskets for much cheaper than GC and still give us a year warranty like GC. The car still has the thumping in the back and we still have the warranty but we DO NOT TRUST GARY CROSSLEY to do anything more to my car. My husband wrote a 3 page letter to MARK RILES. I beleive they fixed some stuff on the car but totally missed the big stuff so I would HAVE to come back. I really wanted to find a new dealership to go to now that Bill Woods is closed, I should have checked all of the complaints on this site before. Thoroughbred ford has 5 stars, GC only 3. They lost potential new car buying customers as well as service customers!!
This PLace is HORRIBLE!!! I am a young buyer, but this place did not give me the time of day! I waited for someone to greet me and everyone walked right past me and finally I was able to speak with Lisa ( Who I was referred to) and she acted as if I would not be able to afford the car I was wanting to look at. Not once was I offered to look at one out on the lot! She barley spent any time with me and totally blew me off and was VERY rude! I was not even told any detials about the car I wanted. I left the office not knowing a thing about the car. I will never buy from this place. I called Thoroughbred who instanlly wanted me to come down and check out their selection and was willing to work with me!
Very happy with the overal experience. I would recommmend this dealership and Gene Burgen to everyone I know.
Very bad experience ! Will not buy another car from this dealership. Will go to Thorobred Ford next time where have bought Fords in the past and have very good expereinces with both purchases and service.
Great dealership it was a pleasant experience they really seemed to want to make us happy. Our salesman Toby is the best so it you need a car ask for Toby he will really try to make you happy.:)
🙂
🙂
Just had a very positive experience with Lisa my salesperson, she was extremelly helpfull and this was my first time buying a car on my own. I’ll be sending friends and family there way for sure.
I recently purchased a new 2010 Fusion Sport from Crossley Ford. I had the best car buying experince ever at this Dealership. Low pressure from Eddie and he was very knowledgable. The owner Todd Crossley personally thanked me for coming in and my business. I also had them install aftermarket wheels & tires and they were priced very competively. I have since sent in family and friends who have purchased there and I will continue to do so. Also there follow up after the sale has been great as well.
Had an excellent experience from start to finish. The information I wanted was easy to find on thier website and Toby was awesome! I got to meet their owner Todd, who came out and thanked me in person. I’ll be back for sure, easiest purchase I ever made!.
went to see about trading in my car for new focus.. on my birthday .. we were under on my car and were up front with him about it.. we were there for about 4 or so hours.. found a car .. he told us that payments would be cheaper there was a flex plan.. we were just waitting to go back to the finace office.. but were told they are really busy.. so they told us to go ahead and take the car we could come back monday for paper work .. i told him i didnt want to take car unless for sure we had it.. he said there shouldnt be a problem. so we cleaned out old car put stuff in new one.. monday i get a call saying had to bring it back .. they couldnt do loan with out money down that was it… when i went to turn car in … they got ken.. he went to get old car keys.. walked out to my car all he could say is do u have cds in the cd player was litterly taking my stuff out of the new car and throwing it in my old one.. didnt say im sorry couldnt help or the reasons why it didnt go thru or options nothing .. i left crying.. i felt like since i didnt have enough money that i wasnt worth there time.. they couldnt finish the deal so im worth nothing to them… made me feel like i was a piece of trash… i was told there wasnt going to be a problem.. thinking for my b day i got a new car.. to find out it was taking back… they should not tell you to take something if they are not for sure its going to be yours.. and then to be treated that way…. this happened be for to us there … we ended up getting that car years be for because they were in the wrong.. didnt think they would do it again.. thought it would of change.. shame on you gary crosley.. i am countining to tell my family and friends about this..oh and then i went on the dealership site and they have that live chat.. the operater asked me bout my story .. so i told them . they said someone from management was gonna call me the next day …. not .. no one.. guess i still wasnt worth there time… Robin Y.
this revview is verified its me all right i want customers to know they should go to throughbred instead … better treatment…gary crosely only cares if you have money ..
I liked Ken, he was very helpful, you must have had bad credit or something to sit around that long. And the guys at Throughbread are just plain stupid.
PLEASE DO NOT BUY A CARE HERE. GO TO THOROUGHBRED!!!!
I went into the dealership to simply get an oil change. well that turned into a THREE WEEK OIL CHANGE because a salesman who had just sold a car backed that car into my car!!!! They gave me a rental (as should) a pt cruiser at that (joke…couldnt even give me the same car i bought from them which was a focus), and took them 3 weeks to repair the side of my car that had been damaged. After 3 weeks that was supposed to only take 1 week i was able to go pick up my car. When I get their they tell me they replaced my door and side mirror. They told me that all they could do for me was pay for the damages (obviously because they were the ones who wrecked it!)and would give me a free oil change. PLEASE TELL ME WHY I WOULD GO BACK TO GET A FREE OIL CHANGE WHEN THEY WRECKED MY CAR IN THE FIRST PLACE WHEN I TOOK IT TO GET AN OIL CHANGE. Following arguements with Todd Crossley who refused to even speak to me, was flat out rude, and said he didnt have time for a 20 year old females problems I left the dealership and traveled towards Claycomo which is only maybe 10 miles away and i GET A FLAT TIRE. The funny part was a week before GARY CROSSLEY WRECKED MY CAR I put 4 brand new tires on my car and only had used them for a week and then the dealership had it for 3 weeks. VERY ANGRY I went back to Gary Crossley to speak to their service department and they wouldn’t speak to me or help me. ONE WEEK LATER THE DOOR THEY “REPLACED” WOULDN’T SHUT SO I HAD TO TAKE IT BACK UP THEIR AGAIN. I ASKED TO SPEAK TO TODD CROSSLEY HE REFUSED.
DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE. THEY ARE RUDE AND DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER. PLUS IF YOUR A YOUNG FEMALE GOOD LUCK TRYING TO GET THEIR SKEEZE SALESMAN TO QUIT HITTING ON YOU!
Last year I took my SUV in for repair because the airbag light was on. No warranty left. I rented a car. They called that afternoon told me they found bad sensor gave me price, I agreed. Following I picked it up, left there and headed to work the airbag light came on as I approached the exit ramp for highway, I made it 2 blocks from dealership! I turned around took it back, told them light was back on. Gave me rental back. I was 45 minutes late to work in result!!! The follwing day I recieved call with them apologizing and that they had corrected the problem but it was an additional $150. I picked it up the next day and before I even put it in drive the airbag light came back on again!!!! I walked into service and they knew I was pissed, got the rental back again! Went to work the following week later they called apologizing yet again and said they had incorrect reading in manual. whatever! They told me I owed $1350, they charged me for all 3 sensors, 2 that didn’t need replaced. plus labor on those 2 not needed! I called Ford Corp. Office and explained what was going on. Crossley called said I owed $170. Whatever. Issue resolved! Just wanted car back. picked up car, greasy work gloves were left in floor board of my SUV!
I have had more than one issue with them! Thought I would give them another chance. My Expedition is currently there at the service department. Battery continues to drain charge. Husband replaced battery. Had local tech in my town replace alternator. Problem continued so I took it to Gary Crossley for repair. They called me yesterday said it needed new battery positive cable because it was corroded, $375. I agreed, called husband. Husband was pissed said cabled run around $30. Asked me why $375…. 😮 My first thought here we go again! I called Gary Crossley informed them that my husband would be handling details and charges with SUV. Husband felt they were taking advantage of the fact that I was a woman. I was also approach by a saleman Steve Lopez. Asking if that was my SUV that was being repaired. Tried a saled tactic on me, knowing my car was in the craps just looking for a vulnarable person! I will never return to Crossley after my SUV is returned! Now wonder Automotive Industry is going under! Crooks, not UAW or Corporate. Its the dealerships!!!!
This was my best experience ever in buying a new car. i was treated professionaly and recieved a great deal. I woould recomend gary crosley ford to all of my friends. Thumbs up to Gene
I went to the dealership thinking i would not get any help because my car was out of warranty. but everyone one was very helpful I spoke to todd crossley the owner and he made a call to ford on my behalf to get me assistance. the whole experince was great.
The service at Gary Crossley Ford is the absolute worst ever. I have 3 Ford vehicles and will never ever deal with Gary Crossley for anything ever again. I took a 2006 Expedition in on Monday at 8:30 because the check engine light was on. At noon I called them and the guy was at lunch. At 1:15 he called me back and said they just got the car in the shop but the mechanic just left for lunch. I asked him what options I had because I had kids to pickup at 3:20 from school. He was rude and told me we have to wait until they determine what’s wrong with the car. At 2:30 he called and told me the problem and they would have it done on Tuesday morning. I agreed to the work, price and timing. Now it is Wednesday afternoon and still no word from them. They did call Tuesday afternoon and instead of saying the work was done, they said they wanted another $150 because the job was harder than they originally figured.
At this point I called for the Service Manager but he was off so got to the voice mail of the GM, Todd Crossley.I left him a pointed message on how unhappy I was as a customer and asked him for two things – one is to explain why he is asking me to pay extra money because the spark plugs were “too hard” to remove from the vehicle. I told him they work on Fords all day and they should know how to do the tasks. The second thing was to tell me when I might get the car back.
As you would expect from any dealership GM, he never called me back.
I had all the motor seals replaced. Â They gave me a loaner car when it took longer than expected. Â Work was good for a Ford dealer. Â I have had alot of trouble with dealer repairs in the past at different ford dealerships. Â If the auto companies want to know why they are facing bankruptcy ….. Â service is one of the main reasons. Â Generally, they are a bunch of crooks. Â
I have had a battery problem that 3 or 4 dealers have worked on. Â My battery drains if the car is parked for more than one night. Â Alternator ok. Battery supposedly ok. Â My car is not the standard taurus and has the same electronics package as a lincoln, heated rear window, large amp stereo, theft system etc… Â DOHC. Â The replacement batteries they have put in since my original factory battery died have not worked. Â Seems like its even a different size then the original was. Â Anyhow I have spent a fortune for the last 9 years and I still have the battery trouble. Â Email me at [email protected] if you have any suggestions on a fix for the battery. The dealers have been useless.
THE ORIGINAL PERSON WHO HELPED ME – JOSE – WAS DECENT AND HONEST (YEAH!!) AND NEW AT IT SO ANOTHER ONE TOOK OVER AFTER I SAID I WAS READY TO PURCHASE THE VEHICLE. FIRST OF ALL THE OFFER YOU FREE CAR WASHES FOR X AMOUNT OF MONTHS/YEARS TO TRY GET YOU TO PAY MORE..HA- THEIR CAR WASH IS A JOKE – I DONT EVEN KNOW IF THEY USE SOAP! IT IS CHEAP, JUNK! I WAS LIED TO ABOUT THE WARRANTY. WHEN I TRIED TO CANCEL IT THEY LIED AND AVOIDED CALLING ME BACK. I HAD PROBS WITH THE SALESMAN (NOT JOSE BUT THE ONE WHO TOOK OVER FROM HIM) AND THE FINANCIAL MANAGER AND ANOTHER MANAGER ALL LYING AND WORKING IN KAHOOTS. WE HAD A VERBAL FIGHT AND THE OTHER SALESMEN SNIGGERED BETWEEN THEMSELVES (VULTURES!) AND FINALLY I GOT THE BIG BOSS THERE (NOT THE CROSSLEYS BUT AN OLDER MAN THAT IS SOME GENERAL MANAGER) – HE WAS THE USUAL KIND OF CAR SALES PERSON WHO ACTS LIKE HE CARES BUT YOU KNOW IT IS ALL SHOW- I THREANED TO GO TO THE NEWSPAPER AND TV STATIONS AND ATTORNEY GENERAL. FINALLY GOT MY MONEY BACK AFTER A FEW WEEKS OF LIES AND FIGHTING. THE BIG MANAGER WAS THE ONE WHO FINALLY GOT SOMETHING DONE. SO THE SALESMAN I DEALT WITH (NOT JOSE, HE WAS DECENT AND NICE) AND THE FINANICAL AND OTHER TOP MANAGERS ARE SLY AND JERKS. BIG MANAGER AT LEAST GOT THINGS SORTED OUT FOR ME BUT I KNEW IT WAS BECAUSE I REFUSED TO GIVE UP. THE LADIES IN THE OFFICE (RECEPTIONISTS, ETC) ARE VERY PROFESSINAL AND I CAN ONLY SAY GOOD THINGS ABOUT THEM. I WILL NEVER SET FOOT AT THIS DEALERSHIP AGAIN. IF JOSE MOVED TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP I WOULD BUY FROM HIM BUT NOT AS LONG AS HE WORKS FOR THESE SCAM ARTISTS
