Why are so many of you Longmont Ford affiliated people writing reviews on your own stealership? Seems like you guys have embarked on a PR campaign since I last looked into your online ratings. Let me give you a hint: it's quite noticeable.
Everyone I've ever spoken to with a Ford here in Longmont says to steer clear of this dealership. And while they've never not fixed a problem I was forced to bring to them, every time I have to go to them for a recall or something my independent cannot handle I feel like I need to take a bath when I'm done.
And while there is no outright disrespect that you can put a finger on from the service department, there is an underlying tone and flippancy - like you're wasting their valuable time, and you know absolutely nothing about auto repair so you should just be quiet. When you have the temerity ask a question they look at you like you have two heads.
Time estimates are very often incorrect and they are outrageously expensive.
There is ONE BRIGHT SHINNING LIGHT at Longmont Ford - Gene in the parts department - the man is a walking, talking parts encyclopedia and can source the most obscure parts for 30 year old Fords. Always a pleasure to deal with him.
I am a long time Ford customer, but will not purchase another new Ford product as long as I live in Longmont as I will need to take it to these pompous folks for warranty service. They were mediocre before the Boulder Ford dealership closed, now they are insufferable.
After looking for a new car for the past six months, I found the greatest deal ever. I visited Longmont Ford and met the friendliest sales associate (Macaria) that answered all of my questions and seemed to be very knowledgeable. Macaria matched me with the best car that suited my lifestyle but more importantly in this struggling economy; she matched me with a car that suited my budget. From beginning to end, Longmont Ford and all of its staff treated me like royalty. I would most definitely recommend this dealer for your next auto purchase. Remember to ask for Macaria Rivera when visiting Longmont Ford!
We bought our Ford 500 from Longmont, we got an awesome deal and have been very happy with our choice of vehicle. We recently had it repaired for a leak in the back door and they not only fixed that problem but they fixed a problem with the brakes that we were not aware we had. We have always been treated well at this dealership.

Sales person was a very kind and honest man. He was also to work with us on the ways to finace the vehicle. The dealership atmosphere is welcoming and open too. Buying a car there was a great experience. I will definitely come back.
After about a month of looking, I found a car at Longmont Ford that was only about $5,000 and I was told over the phone that I’d been pre-approved for a loan that would make my payments $129 a month for 60 months. After test driving and wanting to buy the car, I was brought into the office of “Chaz” – the person who would handle my financing paperwork. He said my actual payment might go over that “a bit.” I told him that I was told $129 at 60 months and that I can only afford that – and that he saw what I was making (very little - $950 per month gross at my two jobs plus I do odd jobs for people). He told me it’s actually 66 months and it was over the $129 per month.
He quickly pulled out a list of many different service warranty packages I could buy. He told me not to look at the “numbers” yet --- they were as high as $188 per month. I became concerned because I was feeling sucked in and deceived. I said “No – I don’t want it – Just the $129 I was promised.” Chaz said “Are you surrrre? I just want to make sure you are protected. It would only cost you $138 per month - only an additional $9 a month- to get the basic protection here.” Chad showed me a list of all the things that this basic warranty covered. The car didn’t have any other warranty.
I asked him – “So, if I broke down in say, Salida, would I just be able to bring it in and get it fixed?... As long it was one of these on this list of things.” “Yes!” said Chaz “It’s only $9 more per month and you are covered for 36 months or 36,000 miles.” I felt, at that point to add a cost of roughly $600 over the life of the loan (66 months) to be protected in this way, would be worth it. I agreed. Then Chaz began to make conversation with me – now I realize it was the way a doctor makes chit chat to distract you from the pinch of a needle. He just kept slamming down page after page of documents for me to sign or initial. He said, “Ok – just initial here, here, here, here, here and sign here…And where are you from again?” Then he tightly folded up all the documents, three ways and stuffed them in a letter envelope.
I think you know what happens next. When I got home with my $5,000 car, I saw that over the life of the loan I would end up paying a little over $9,000… nearly double the loan. Not because of the dealer fee ($399) - I anticipated that – there were signs up all over the dealership announcing that one. Not because of the taxes – got that – and the loan was made at 7.5% --- so I anticipated that interest but then I saw it - $1,799 for a service protection plan. Wait – what – what about my $9 more a month? Even at 66 months that is only about $600 – this is $1,700 – not $600. And not only that – there is a $100 deductible every time you bring your car in – not just “bring it on in” if it’s on this list of things. Bam.

RESOLVED REVIEW: The service staff stepped up and remedied a bad situation by sales. Sales stated taht all items in the checklist are fixed before the vehicle is sold, they are not. Service performs the vehicle check, then Sales tells service what to fix/not fix. Service did step up and pay my warranty deductible even though it was Sales fault.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: The only reason I took a Chevy to a Ford dealership was because the extended warranty dictated that I do so if I was in a 40 mile radius. I had to take it in to repair what should have been fixed already by the dealership since it was noted on the pre-inspection sheet. Since it wasn't I had to spend my money and do so. They said it'd be ready the same day I dropped it off. Guess what, it wasn't and they wouldn't provide a loaner vehicle to get home with. Thankfully, Steven was able to stop the work from being finished so that I was able to take it home after all, and bring it back the next day. They then told me of other numerous leaks that they spotted that they somehow failed to think was a problem 2 months or 2,000 miles ago, but that likely been there, just overlooked. I will not take a vehicle back there unless it's for the overpriced aftermarket warranty through First Extended Service Corporation. I've used Warranty Direct in the past, they're fantastic.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Jerry Derden was good to work with, HOWEVER, don't buy the aftermarket warranty through First Extended Service Coorporation. It's not worth the money. Buy it later through Warranty Direct. Also don't trust that the service dept. fixed the stuff on the supposed 75 point checklist, because they didn't fix it on ours, costing us an expensive repair to a water pump.

Update on Low trade price suddenly jumps from 1300 to 3600
My mistake: Sales is at fault in this situation, read my review for service. Jerry didn't contact me at all to help resolve the problem, the sales manager took it upon himself to discuss it with the owner. If I could switch my rating I would, sales 2 out of 5, service 3.5 to 4 out of 5.
MY HUSBAND & I WERE BOTH IN THE MARKET FOR NEW CARS. I RESEARCHED ONLINE THE VEHICLES WE WERE LOOKING FOR. WE WENT INTO THIS PARTICULAR DEALERSHIP (LONGMONT FORD) ONLY BECAUSE THEY WERE OFFERING BOTH CARS WE WERE LOOKING FOR. I CALLED AHEAD TO EXPLAIN THAT WE HAD OUR OWN FINANCING & WERE LOOKING FOR 2 VEHICLES. WE REQUESTED THE VEHICLES BE PULLED TO THE FRONT OF THE DEALERSHIP AT 6PM THAT EVENING. SO- WE COULD DRIVE & BUY... FAST! WHEN WE ARRIVED AT THE DEALERSHIP, IT TOOK US APPROX. 10 MINUTES TO FIND ANYONE THAT WORKED THERE, AND I HAD TO ASK FOR HELP??? THE CARS WERE NOT PULLED AROUND & NOBODY HAD EVER HEARD OF US? SO- ALL THE RESEARCH & TIME I SPENT ONLINE & CALLING THEM- WAS FOR NOTHING! WE TEST DROVE BOTH CARS WITH THE FULL INTENT TO DRIVE THEM HOME THAT DAY! THE SALES "PROFESSIONAL" WAS SO RUDE & FINALLY REALIZED AFTER A HORRIBLE ATTEMPT TO "SELL" US- THAT HE HAD TO BRING HIS SALES "MANAGER" OVER TO TALK TO US- HE WAS EVEN WORSE! POOR LEADERS= POOR PERFORMERS! THAT IS THE CASE AT LONGMONT FORD! THE GIRL THAT TOOK US ON OUR TEST DRIVES- CONTINUED TO EXPLAIN HOW HORRIBLY MANAGED & SHORT STAFFED THEY ARE & THAT THEY MAKE "SO MUCH MONEY" CUZ THEY CRAM CARS TO BUYERS JUST TO GET THEM GONE. ALSO- WE HAVE 2 SMALL CHILDREN.... WHEN WE ENTERED THE DEALERSHIP AFTER OUR TEST DRIVE- THERE WERE 3 EMPLOYEES SMOKING & SWEARING LOWDLY RIGHT AT THE ENTRANCE! I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH A POOR DISPLAY OF PROFESSINOALISM IN MY LIFE! NEEDLESS TO SAY- WE DID NOT & WOULD NOT EVER PURCHASE A CAR FROM LONGMONT FORD & WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT IF YOU ARE IN THE MARKET FOR A NEW VEHICLE.... DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME THERE! THE VERY NEXT DAY- WE WENT TO A DIFFERENT DEALERSHIP- PURCHASED 2 NEW CARS- FOR OVER $7K LESS THAN THEY WERE OFFERING FOR THE SAME VEHICLES (AND THEY WERE NICER CARS... WELL KEPT, CLEAN, LOW MILES....) !!! THEY ARE LIARS! THEY WERE PROUD TO SAY SEVERAL TIMES.... "THEY ARE THE CHEAPEST WITHIN 200 MILES & THAT WE WOULD NOT FIND A BETTER PRICE ANYWERE. THEY UNDERVALUED MY TRADE- IN ALSO! I LOVE IT THAT THE VERY NEXT DAY- I GAVE MY BUSINESS ... AND MY TRADE IN- TO "GO" AND THEY GAVE US EXACTLY WHAT WE WERE LOOKING FOR! I AM SO PLEASED THAT WE MADE THE DECISION TO NOT LET LONGMONT FORD TAKE ADVANTAGE OF US! PLEASE DO YOURSELF THE SAME COURTISY & DON'T BOTHER VISITING LONGMONT FORD!!! WE ARE SO HAPPY WITH OUR NEW CARS! AND MOST IMPORTNALY, WE KNOW WE MADE A GREAT DECISION TO NOT BUY FROM LONGMONT FORD! IT WAS PROVEN THE VERY NEXT DAY- WHEN WE WALKED INTO A "GO" SHOWROOM- WERE GREATED PROMPTY, WERE TREATED WITH DIGNITY & RESPECT, WE WERE NOT TALKED DOWN TO- AND WE GOT A BETTER DEAL! THAT'S THE BOTTOM LINE!
GOOD LUCK TO ANYONE SHOPPING FOR A NEW CAR IN THIS MARKET! DO YOUR RESEACH!!!! AND DON'T GET RIPPED OFF BY LONGMONT FORD!
Just want to say thanks to all the sales team members. You guys made things very easy for me. Thanks for answering all my queries with patience. You have done a wonderful job in helping me buy my Mustang. And thanks for the quick delivery of my car. I couldn’t have asked for more
We have just returned from a great weekend drive and we are all very happy with our new Ford Edge. I didn’t believe my friend when he told me about Longmont Ford. But after visiting your showroom, I realized car shopping can be so much easier and fun. I am convinced of your services and will contact you for all my future vehicle needs. Thanks a lot.

For a busy, on-the-move executive like me, servicing my Ford Taurus at a fixed time was particularly difficult. The option of leaving my Taurus at my dealership, at my convenience, was something that would have suited me perfectly well. And that is what Longmont Ford did for me. In its online segment, there is a section called “alternative date” and “alternative time”, through which I could easily fix my most convenient time for service. Small, thoughtful features like this go a long way in making our lives simpler.
