This is what we wrote to 3 on your side. I have an incredible situation with a local car dealer. My daughter (20) and her husband (26) went
into Mark Mitsubishi to purchase a used car. They ended up buying an Acura MDX. The deal was not a good
one but, that is not what the problem is.
The kids were turned down because of credit issues. They were told to try to get a co-signer, which they did.
The co-signer changed her mind about co-signing when she saw the terms of the deal and never signed anything. The kids were then told hastily
to return the vehicle. I went with them to return the vehicle.
At the dealership, we were then told that they signed papers stating that if they were not able to purchase the
vehicle, they would be giving up their trade-ins (two of them) but, also gave up their $1,000 deposit. I viewed the paper they signed and The paper
actually stated that they were now locked into the deal and both of them would not be able to quit their jobs until the loan was approved or they
would be surrendering their trade in vehicles and deposit money. My daughters husband did lose his electrician job during the loan approval process
due to the fact that the company he worked for was going out of business...everyone that worked their lost their job. This was not due to him getting
fired or quitting....which he can provide proof for.
The dealership literally left them on foot and they were lucky that I had gone with them to give them a ride home. My daughter has a 2 year old and
both kids have jobs to get to. I really need help
with this one. I was previously in the car business for 30 years and have seen lots of situations but, nothing like this.
This type of dealer is exactly what gives car dealers a bad name.

And they have now sent a bill to us that says we owe them $250 for putting in a new ignition since we kept the additional set of keys for not giving us our cars back.
