My wife and I were shopping for mini vans we located the one that we wanted and proceeded to make the deal. I felt pretty good about the deal but when the dealer was not making what they wanted on the car when it came to the financing part of the deal they tried to charge us a very high interest rate. Our credit is excellent and the rate quoted was 10.9% and for 72 months at that. I knew at that point he was trying to take advantage of us by puffing up the rate considering at the time the rate was 7.5% needless to say I told him to forget it. I told my wife lets go and the finance guy named Jim said hold on just a minute I get these coupons from time to time from the banks which allows me to buy down the rate I can use these and get you a rate of 7.5% I told him we are not interested at this point we had had it with the sales and financing tactics of Paramount KIA. I went to another KIA dealer and was treated just right I got the deal I wanted and the rate of 7.5% for 60 months.
