I bought a 2000 Montero Sport from them a week ago. A day after buying it I found an oil leak(cam gasket seal) while I was filling the gas tank and checking oil levels. When I checked the oil the dipstick read nothing... later found the horn doesn't work.
I forgot to check the spare tire when looking the car over. When I got home I found it had no spare tire, or jack, or lug wrench.
I had looked at the car a week before I bought it. The body was in very good condition at the time. When I went back to test drive/buy a week later I found the bumper alignment was off. The owner told me he would fix it, and drove me to the auto body shop and scheduled an appointment to meet me at the shop a few days later at 9AM. When I went to the shop he didn't show, I called the dealership to ask where he was and they told me he was at an auction, and was a very busy person. I gave them my phone # and asked for him to return my call, didn't happen. They didn't pay to repair the bumper. When told about the oil leak/lack of oil the dealer told me cars we sold "as is." I asked if he was comfortable selling a car with out oil and he repeated "as is, that's why it they are so cheap."
The car looked very nice, and with ~ $1000 of work will be in good condition, but I feel some things were hidden from me(I also over looked some things). I looked very hard for that oil leak and found nothing during the test drive. I knew this particular leak was a problem with monteros. I guess the "bubble gum" fell off after I bought it.
I recommend you do no business with this company, or at the very least bring the car to an unassociated mechanic before buying it.

Default Update on Oregon Car Connection... NO

Also, while driving the owner back from the auto body shop he asked me how I felt about the experiences I've had with other dealers. I told him no offense but I've had many bad experiences with used car dealers and don't trust many of them. He explained to me why he opened the shop... "I figured if i couldn't be the other Scu..bags then I shouldn't be in business."Brian, you aren't beating them, and you shouldn't be in business. I doubt it will last much longer for you.
