I purchased in cash a 2001 Ford Expedition from Rizza Ford on July 2, 2009 in addition to a $960.00 service contract (that was worthless). This truck broke down on me and my family on July 3, 2009 in Memphis, TN on the way to Mississippi. The salesman was made aware of this and assured this vehicle would make the trip. My 65 yr. old uncle was in the vehicle and the 95 degree temperature was harder on him. I contacted the dealership and was told to take the vehicle to the nearest ford dealership. Not familiar with the area we did not know where the nearest dealership was located. I attempted to get road side service that was offered by the service contract and was informed that I was not in the system although I was told by the finance director the contract would be in effect immediately (not true). The whole experience a disatrous and traumatic. We did get the vehicle to a ford dealership. To make long short we were stranded and had to make a difficult decision to get to our destination because there were not any rental cars because of the 4th of July weekend. We made the trip to say the least. We we returned to the joliet area I started the process to get the vehicle repaired. I had a time getting the service contract enforced due to the dealership nonchalant attitude about my situation. When it was also said and done the service contract that I purchased did not cover the transmission replacement citing a pre-existing condition. I had an attorney to attempt to get reimbursement for my replacement expenses without any response. I reported them to the Attorney General's office. My next course of action with be the BBB and a civil suit. Buyers be very cautious of this dealership because their professionlism towards me was poor. Maybe because selling new cars are their first priority. I will not ever buy another vehicle of any kind from them and will not recommend anyone to them. Regina
