Stay away from the service department if at all possible. Warranty work can be done at Capitol or Carlsen. These guys took 6 tries and 2 years to fix a leak in the sunroof of the new Outback I purchased from them. What a waste of my time to keep bringing the car in for them to dry the carpet out and check the seals and spray water and say they find no leak. When they finally took me seriously and found the problem, they tried to say the warranty expired. Heck no... I've been bringing this problem in after every rain since the car was purchased. They backed off on that one. But then when I got home after the fix I found two plastic parts in the back of my car. These parts bolted in the front wheel wells, and without them the wheel well liner hung down and driving home rubbed holes in them. I called the service rep (Duane) and explained to him to fix the problem when I bring the car in for the next service. 5 months later I bring the car in and the service manager says I waited too long and it will be $160 to fix (or only $80 if I buy $800 tires which I can get for $500 anywhere else). I just took my car and walked away.

If you are on top of your stuff and have time to hastle with them you can probably get what you want. But if you're like me and can barely find the time to bring the car in for regular service, and want to be taken seriously without acting like an ass, you're better off with Capitol Subaru or Carlesen Subaru service (I've used both).

These guys are trying to make money and will try to rip you off if they think they can get away with it.
