Went looking for a Minivan, everything was fine and asked for 24 hours to think about it before we finished. Salesperson and Sales Manager were fine.
Salesman called when the dealer opened in the next afternoon (Sunday) to see if we were still interested. I said yes but wife hurt her foot and was not able to walk well, could we get some questions answered over the phone on things like general finance terms, before we headed down to the dealership. He said he would try but that the finance department was busy so he didn't know how long it would be. We waited then called back with a different quesiton, same responce busy come down it will be easier. Called a little later and talked to the Sales Manager and he said they had the car and we should come down to finish the deal.
Drove the dealership and found out the van in question was sold the day before (before we left the first time). Not only that they (including the finance manger were sitting around, not busy at all. We were lied to by the salesman and the salesmanager to the van we wanted to buy was in stock and asked to bring my injured wife down for a deal on a that might be there in a few days.
Don't deal with these people. All they had to be was honest and say the van was gone, we told them it was our risk to wait. If he had started off on Sunday afternoon with the van is gone but the they can get another we would have waited a few days. I would have finished the deal the next time around but now I will never go back.
