My fiancee went in with very stong intention to buy a convertible BMW. She worked with a young lady named Stacy who seemed nice and personable. The car itself was also nice and clean and as advertised. The problem started with the GM (according to Stacy that's who worked the numbers) quoted her the numbers. They told me the purchase price, the loan rate, the term and the payment. I punched it in bankrate.com and the numbers didn't come out right, So i questionned Stacy and she still tried to tell me that the numbers that were quoted by them were correct...after 3 times of discussing with her that a simple math equation doesnt lie and that the numbers dont add up together she first stated that she quoted the higher payment because she didnt know about the credit score...so my ? was so are you extending her 4.99% rate or not...she finally confessed that wasnt the case and that the math actually works out to 6%- so i asked her to have her GM who worked the "numbers" to call me back so that i can ask him why they would be misleadingly quoting a customer 4.99% when in fact their numbers are based on 6%. She called back again in place of the GM and told me that the guy was "busy" and that she is calling in his place to let me know that the selling price that she had told me was in fact not "really" the selling price and that the dealership charges an additional charge of $495 for freight and reconditioning...THIS IS A USED CAR!!! The selling price should be the SELLING PRICE! You should not hide an extra $500 on the customer!!! If you need to charge the customer an extra $500 then REFLECT THAT in YOUR SELLING PRICE DONT PLAY HIDE AND SEEK GAMES!!! COOK VW IS IN FACT CROOK VW!!
