This was, simply put, the best experience I have ever had at a dealership. In almost 20 years of car purchases, I have never been treated with less pressure and given more honesty that this experience.
I just happened to drive by and stopped to look at a Mitsubishi Raider. I was greeted by Frank, the salesman. He was very friendly and gave me the information about the truck I needed.
After a test-drive I decided to purchase the vehicle. Negotiations went as expected, but in a very friendly and low pressure fashion. After all, they are trying to get the best deal they can get. However, due to an inaccuracy on my credit report, we had to come up with alternative plans, including a higher down payment.
After sleeping on the deal, I decided to make the extra down payment because the cost of the down payment saved me $6,000 over the life of the note (rough 5X the down payment). I called and asked them to get the truck ready.
When I arrived, I met with Roger, the finance manager. I understand that the price on the sales floor is an estimate and often inflates slightly as additional insurance, TT&L, and other fees are added in. This time the deal was exactly the same as mentioned on the sales floor.
I will be back. My fiancee is also interested in buying her next car from them, as she was there for the entire transaction. She was just as pleased as I was.
