On April 17, 2009 my spouse and I visited the Curry Honda Atlanta. After test driving a few of the vehicles on the lot, we decided to purchase the Acura TL 2005. Upon inquiring about the price, Roy, the sales person, proceeded to inform us that this specific vehicle was $22,995. We talked over with Roy and Roy talked with his manager, and we were quoted a price of $22,395. We purchased the vehicle.
Well, the next morning, Saturday, April 18, 2009 I decided to look at the Curry Honda Atlanta website, and to my dismay I saw the car that we had just purchased advertised for $19,500. My husband called the dealership and spoke to Bruce, the manager, about it. Upon our arrival, my husband was pretty upset about the misrepresentation of the price. But Bruce agreed to fix the problem, and we agreed to it. So Bruce began to explain that the moment we left the dealership we owned the car; furthermore, the website had a disclaimer and that the price on the website was just a mistake. He told us that he would not change the price for the car, but he would adjust the price to $1,000 less than what we had previously paid for. I do realize that people do make mistakes when typing information, but that does not explain the other three vehicles on the website. All of the pre-owned 2005 Acura TL’s on the website were priced at below $20,000. The advertisement by the dealership seems to be purposely misleading people. I do have copies of the website advertisement for my vehicle and of three other vehicles. We have contacted the company, but they do not wish to amend the situation.
