On Monday April 13th. I went to Capital Kia because they were advertizing a hail sale. I walked in and was immediately put under the "high pressure" techniques. They did not pay attention to what I was looking for, tried to sell me a different car, and the first one I test drove was having starting problems and the radio was non-functioning.
I decided I wanted to see how much they were going to sell it for with the hail damage. It took an hour and half for them to tell me the price. They ran my credit, told me what they would take for my trade in, THEN finally told me the price. I almost walked out several times, and the only reason I was going to buy the car was the price on the car was so good when they told me how much it would be.
I was put an offer on the table with an OK interest rate, great price, and monthly payments right where I needed them. I left that day with the car after signing a Sales CONTRACT with the terms outlined.
The very next day I recieved a call from Capital Kia saying that the contract I had signed for the loan was rejected by the bank and that I needed to come in and put an additional $500 down. My payments would be higher as well, and now I needed a co-sign.
I had several harsh words for them and I told them they needed to honor the contract or take their car back. I was told to bring the car back. I tried to speak to the General Manager, and that person refused to listen to my complaint. I was hung up on and ignored.
I was told that they didn't care if I contacted the local news, posted on sites like this, filed a complaint with the BBB, and told everyone I know they are liars and do not honor their contracts. I was told that they would sell 300 cars a month anyway.
I returned the car and the keys after witnessing them rip up the contract.
DO NOT EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE.

We also had the opportunity to work with JM at this dealership. Pressure from the moment we sat down in the office. To make a long story short, we had to end up walking away as he and his finance manager could not understand the concept of not being able to afford the payments. He kept on harping about the great warranty , it's a new car.. blah , blah blah. The deal breaker: I asked about a used car and Jesse told me that since I was a first time buyer, they would not qualify me for a loan for a used car ... only a new one. WTF??!!! That **** actually had the nerve to say that with a straight face to my face. I told him that did not make any sense to me.I did e-mail another salesperson and asked them that question. She said that was not true and asked who said that to me.I responded that it was JM at this dealership and due to his deception, I would not be buying anything from this dealership. Just as well, I ended up buying a sweet Mazda 3 from First Texas Honda- and yes, I did get financing and it is a pre-owned. I wold not recommend this dealership to anyone.

He just didn't want to sell you a used car? That is stupid since the commission on used cars is higher on the new ones. If you are in Austin do yourself a favor and shop at South Point Kia if you are looking for a Kia. Gerry Esquivel is great. He is an honest guy. (well more honest than anyone at Capital.)
