Out of the four car dealerships I visited yesterday, Tracy Nissan excelled in overall service and pricing.
After quibbling with Dublin over the price of an SL Versa, I drove over to Tracy to view their SLs, which they had promised me were in stock with the options I wanted. I had previously had an enjoyable and informative conversation with Glen, the internet sales manager over the phone, and he had promised to match or beat Dublin's quote.
After we realized that we had misunderstood each other about the quote (he was talking after rebate, I was talking before) we were joined on the floor by Tex, his supervisor and another personable, friendly, down to earth person. Because the car with the options I wanted also had some other expensive features tacked onto it, and because I had made the 45 minute drive out to Tracy under the impression that I would be driving home in my new car, Tex and Glen agreed to sell the fully loaded SL Versa at a price comparable to the one I had wanted. This was hundreds of dollars below its TMV and even resulted in a cost to them.
I would not have believed I could afford the luxury car that is now sitting in my driveway, or that I could feel like I had cheated the dealership to get it. I highly recommend Tracy Nissan to anyone who is shopping for that make. Besides the fantastic deal I got, I was also rewarded by the warmth and sincerity of its sales people. Six stars out of five!
