Before arriving, I did my homework on value of my trade in and cost of the vehicles I might want. Surprisingly, they offered a TMV amount for my car. However, they jacked up the price of the vehicles.
I refused the offer and left on friendly terms. The sales and finance guys were friendly enough with the normal level of sales pressure. They did use the time-wasting tactic by having me wait around a few times, leaving to "attend to something important." This is a way to try to make a customer feel inferior and goad them into trying to please the sales and finance people by buying.
Obviously, it works, unless you hold an advanced degree in behavioral psychology. I played with them, since I had time to kill, by giving several false starts and indicators to think they made the sale. Yes, I like to psychologically punish people who misbehave.
In summary: Do Your Homework before going here, and you can avoid being ripped off (which means taken for more than the car you want is really worth). If you don't get a fair deal, just get out of there!
