It would be funny if it were in a movie. These guys tried every single sleazy car salesman line in the Sleazy Car Dealer Manual. Throughout all of it I didn't budge. They asked me what it would take, I kept telling them $19,000 out the door. When they pulled "Someone is coming in 15 minutes to buy this truck!" I got up to leave.

Matt, the sales manager, finally agreed. We shook hands, I even signed a hand written note that Andrew (the salesman) wrote saying I agree to 19,000 out the door.

The reason I mentioned that I stayed firm through all the negotiation was because of what happened next. They made up the contract for $20,000, minus the $1,000 I gave them as a down payment, which came to 19,000 that I financed. Blake, the finance manager, showed me the number on the contract, "right there, 19,000 just like you asked for," and like an idiot I didn't read the whole contract. I was so exhausted from dealing with these sleaze bags, and so relieved to finally be getting out of there, I signed the contract. I just trusted (Yeah, I'm laughing too) that they would honor the price we agreed on.

Yes, I am an idiot. I am a stupid, gullible, incredible specimen of an imbecile. Matt's got to be laughing so hard that he found a moron stupid enough to fall for that transparent deception.

But do you really want to deal with someone so sleazy that they'd even try a stunt like that?

I've been working for three days to get it resolved, but I only got past the receptionist once. Blake told me that "No, after you paid the down payment, that's the out the door price." Seriously. That's definitely a unique way of looking at it, I guess. I should be grateful I didn't put down five grand.

I have no delusions that I'll ever get back the $1,000 they stole from me. They don't care that they'll never see me again. They know that anything I say here or to my friends will not affect their business one thin dime.

I didn't see this forum until after I got robbed. If you see it before you go car shopping, please, believe all the people that say these guys are slimy crooks. They are sub-human wastes of skin. Do not let them feed off of you.
