I bought my first car from them a few years ago and got jerked around and taken advantage of in every way imaginable. I realize that was as much my fault as it was theirs. I was young and naive at the time.

When my unreliable overpriced car started to fall apart, I started doing some research looking for a new car. I ended up settling on the Mazda3. Unfortunately these guys happened to be the closest Mazda dealer, and I thought maybe I just had just had a bad experience on the previous sale. So I went back to Legacy, but this time I was prepared for their sleazy sales pitches and their number-manipulating tricks.

My wife and I walked in and told the salesman that we were "looking for a used Mazda 3 with a manual transmission, and price range of up to $9000" You would think, being at a Mazda dealership, that they wouldn't have a problem showing you a Mazda 3; instead they spent the next 2 hours giving us high pressure sales pitches for a filthy, stripped-down 2002 Ford Focus, a 2001 high-mileage Lincoln-something, a 1999 high-mileage WV Passat. We were never once shown a Mazda 3.

I got the distinct impression that they were just trying to get us to drive away in an overpriced, high margin, junker. When I finally insisted on seeing their Mazda 3's the salesman left and his manager came back and essentially told us, "you're crazy if you think you're getting a 3 for under 12k" !?!?!? I almost couldn't believe it. These guys are the worst of the worst and the sleaziest of the sleazy. Don't even think about shopping there.

We bought a Mazda 3 for $9500 (including tax/title/license) a few days later from another dealer who treated us right.
