Default what kind of engine could I put in a chevy s-10 to get it 10 150mph?

and i want it to speed up in a decent amount of time.
also, where online can I find guides to building high performance motors?

It's not the engine as much as two things:

High speed is accomplished by using high rear-end gearing and/or extra gears in the tranmission (4th and 5th).
Acceleration si affected negatively, however. To increase acceleration you need torque.

A 350 would do it with a good bit of massaging (mostly headword) but for big torque you can't beat a 454. Even slightly massaged that beast can smoke tires and run all day well over a hundred.

Gas milage will totally suck.

I don't recommend driving so fast on public roads, by the way. Those other cars aren't obstacles to be avoided like a video game.
