Default Please help need to return a car! today is the third day if there is thruth to it?

Saturday I got a new car after trade in of my old car ( my dad was the Co signer) everything happened so fast next thing I knew I was driving out with a new car and leaving my old car behind. Well I went to my old dearler ship today ( the second day from my purchase sunday does not count i was told by 2 dealers) to fill out some cancellation forms for a refund on my extended warranty I never used well turns out an old friend of my boyfried works there and he told me I was screwed the car If I was approved I should of never needed to put a down payment on the car , and my Dad should of been Present to sign the trade in since he is the co Signer otherise it was illegal the contract does not show OR and I should be able to return the Car by the 3rd day and if anything give the Manager crap about being taken advatage of and being pressuered otherwise I will file a complaint and take legal actions && my Dad should have signed as well Is this legit enough to have them take back the car ,
Basically I traded my Old car for a new one , the old car was under my dads name first and me second is shows AND not or , I went to buy a new car with out my dad and I signed the trade in my dad was ticked of since he thought he had to be present . ... I then went to my old car dealership and two sales reps told me I should be able to take my car back that they deal with all the time ( thropy Nissan) as long as it within 3 days. and since my dad never signed the trade in agreement the contract should not be legit. that all sales and Managers try and lie about not being able to take the car back in 72 hours and I should say I was pressured and taken advatage of , the contract was not explained to me and I should have my Dad go back and discuss getting out the contract and using this excuses . I love my new car but I was ripped of , after my dad went over the contract they took advatage of me , the Nissan Rep told me simply sayI will call the DMV and file a complaint

what exactly should your dad have signed the new agreement or the release of the trade-in? u were approved for the car based on the down payment and ur credit. the dealership negotiates with the bank and the bank gives terms or accepts the terms u offer. with that u are stuck with the car. unless you signed this agreement which states that u have 3 days to return the car. with that u pay a restocking fee. if ur friend says that ur dad needed to be there to trade in the car u traded in, then that depends. if the registration says your name OR your dads name then either one of you can trade in the car. If the registration says you AND your dad, then both of you needed to sign. i hope this helps

Somewhere in that rambling incoherent punctuation-free screed, I assume was the following question: "Can I return a car I bought in three days?"

No.

Contrary to the often-circulated myth, there is no three day right of recission on car purchases in ANY state. there are 2 exceptions. (1) If you are in CA, they dealer can SELL you a three day return 'policy'. If you want 3 days to back out, you pay for that right. If you waive it, you do not have it. (2) A door-to-door car salesman came to your house and would not leave until you bought. Then you have 3 days because the transaction was initiated and concluded in your home.

I realize that #2 happens once in every 4million car deals. But it really is the only time.

The other salesmen at the other dealer were putting you on. They didn't make the sale, so lets get the guy all twisted up. They are hoping you go over there and either get embarassed, or scream until you get out of the contract. In which case you will come back to your pals and buy from them.

No - no 3 day return right. Not 3 days, 3 hours, or 3 minutes. When ink dries on paper, that is your car.

I think i only saw two sentences in this big piece of writing, i honestly don't even know exactly what happend to you besides that you're wondering if there is truth to the 3 day return. I have heard of it too but am not sure, your best bet is to go and try it. If you want someone to give you a great answer though please rewrite, i honestly have no idea what you said. (not trying to sound like an ass or anything)

Based on your writing skills, you are either:

a) Seven years old or
b) mentally incompetent.

You should be able to get out of the deal on either point.

You might also have a position if your father didn't sign something important. Otherwise, this might be a good learning opportunity for you.
