Default BMW or Mercedes Benz

Which of these two manufacturers make higher quality vehicles? Recently, someone told me that recent Mercedes have been plagued with problems. Is this true? How reliable are they?

I haven't heard anything at all about this but it is very possible that this is so indeed...I'll have to some searching of my own.

In my opinion they are the same, both benz and BMW have a lot of problems, but both are very good brands. It all comes down to which car you like the most.

I prefer Bmw...I like bmw's engine.

Mercedes is more luxury...Bmw is most focused on performances...

By the way they are good brands

Mercedes has, until recently, made among the most reliable cars on the road. Now, however, the quality is on the decline. Mercedes ranked around 30th this year for reliability among major auto manufacturers. For comparision, Lexus was 3rd and Ford was about 10th. I don't know how BMW fared, however.

Personally, I like the styling of the BMW line much better than that of the Mercedes. I think BMW appeals towards younger and flashier buyers, while Mercedes targets a more conservative demographic.

Default Bmw

BMW is definitely cooler than Mercedes. It's more sportive and it has nicer design.
