Default drop in k&n air filters?

i have a 05 v6 4.3 liter chevy silverado and im wondering if a drop in k&n filter would increase horsepower and acceleration and gas mileage and if so by how much

usually air filters would increase 1-4 hp, it increases air flow which could potentially consume more gas because of better performance and better air flow.
