Default Can I put coil over shocks on my 2000 Silverado Z71 in place of my torsion bars?

I want to put coilovers on my 2000 silverado z71 off-road in place of my torsoin bars. Am I able to do it?

U should be able to do this. fab the coil overs in between the upper & lower A-arms so that they will hold the weight of the truck (like a two weel drive does) i would definitly have this professionally done. very important that this type of fab work holds up.

Sure, go ahead. What are you going to use in place of the torsion bars? Shocks are not a replacement for springs or torsion bars, they are to dampen the affect of them. If you want to replace the bars with a spring and shock suspension system, you'll have to make major modifications to the front end. I don't see the point in that. These trucks at best are pavement princesses.
