alpine subs and hifonics amp?

would two 12in alpine type r's (both 2 ohms and wired at 2 ohms) and a Hifonics BXi1608D amp be a good match. I am ordering all of my stuff of of onlinecarstereo.com so i pretty much wont have a good warranty and just dont want an amp or sub to blow. thanks!
