Question about the Vacuum line on my TBI?

Ok I noticed that on my truck on the TBI it had this line that goes from the front of the TBI to the Valve Covers and that little hose broke and now it idles higher around 1200 RPMS but it normally idles at 800 so my question is do i get anymore over driving horsepower or is it worse for the motor?

well replace the hose its there for a reason
