Default Anyone have problems with XM Radio on the new Honda Accord EX-L V6.?

I own a brand new 2009 Honda Accord EX-L V6 and my XM Radio signal sputters out after constantly changing stations and searching. The info is still displayed but not sound. The only way for it to come back is to restart the car. I am planning on bringing my car back to the dealer to check out the connections etc. Is this a known flaw or defect or has anyone encountered this problem? If so, how did you fix it?

I dropped my 09 Accord EX-L V6 off at the dealership today. The car is 3 weeks old and I'm having the exact same problems that you are. They weren't able to do anything for me because they weren't able to see the problem for themselves, therefore where unable to diagnose the problem, so they said. I asked if they had heard of anyone else having these problems and they said no. So now I'm curious, did you take your car to the shop? Any luck on your end?

Default Same problem here

I've had my 09 Accord back twice now for the XM with the same issues. I can almost alway duplicate the problem by going through stations quickly and the dealer's watched me do this. But, it's also been died after loosing signal for a short period of time, such as stopped next to to a building or under an overpass. And once it was just dead when I started the car. Interestingly, the display continues to function properly, reporting the proper station and song/show/etc., ever when changing channels.

First they replaced the radio, then the XM tuner. I'm still having the problem and the service department is speaking with the Honda rep today, we'll see what they say. The local dealer's frustrated because Honda told them this is the only incident they've ever seen, but now the dealer has two of us and I'm seeing a few more complaints on the web.

If they ever get this figured out, I'll post a reply. Until then, I'm not paying the subscription. The dealer has offered to have my free period extended (the car's only 60 days old), which I'll take them up on.

MY 2008 HONDA ACCORD EX-L V6 DOES THE SAME THING. THE CAR HAS 8500 MILES ON IT. I'M TAKING IT TO THE DEALER THIS MONTH. THEY TOLD ME ON THE PHONE THAT THEY HAD NOT SEEN THIS PROBLEM BEFORE.

Default Same problem

I have 2009 Honda Accord EXL 4cyl thats 3 weeks old. The XM Radio just started stopping this week. Turning off the radio does nothing. The only thing that fixes is restarting the car.

I have a 3 week old 2009 Accord EX-L 4 cyl that is having the same problem.
Once I turn the car off and crank it again it's ok till it screews up again. I bet the XM tuner is still powered when the radio is off so a quick fix would be to put a reset switch to the xm tuner.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with this probem and will call the dealer to see if anyone else has report this issue.

I have a 2 week old 2009 Honda Accord EX-L and I am experiencing the same problem. I was going to bring it back to the dealer but I am skeptical that they will be able to fix the problem.

If anyone finds a solution to this problem please post.

This might help if you take to the dealer. Looks like the 2008's had the same XM problem.
