Disabling Car Alarm on 91 Mazda 626?

Any mechanics out there? I just threw $65 out the window by taking my car to a mechanic who I thought could disable my alarm that is randomly going off. The online instructions I got were: "The Factory Alarm Disarm Wire is yellow/red or green/black in either kick panel in the harness going into the drivers door or at the fuse box. Once located, splice into this wire with a similar gauge wire and put it to a solid chassis ground. This terminates the OEM alarm functions entirely". He did this and a week later it was going off again. so I took it back and he is stumped and told me to see a specialist. So I drove it home and my power locks stopped working that same day. Naturally he says it has nothing to do with what he did. So now I have 2 issues. Disarming my alarm & power locks not working. Could the power locks be something he did with the wiring? Please Help!
