How do you reset the " Theft System " on a 1999 Chevy Cavalier ?

The car was running fine when the water pump went out . My dad towed me home we replaced the water pump and radiator hoses . We went to start it and the theft system light is on and the car will not crank . The light isn't flashing its on constantly . Any ideas on how to fix it ?

Try this link. It's well worth the $20.00 subscription if you're going to do your own work on the car. Chilton's is the same shop manual most independent mechanics use.
