is my engine blown? i have a '94 chevy suburban - was driving it the other night...

...and the service engine light ? soon came on, but went off by the time i got home - approx 10 min. put in quart of oil, then next morning went out and it wouldn't turn over (making clicking noises) could this be bad gas, starter OR a blown engine, as there is now oil leakage under vehicle...how do you know if you've blown the engine?

Service engine soon light could come up for many different reasons. They could be major or minor fixes. Sometimes the light just comes on because the censors might have a short in them. But go and have it checked out before things get worse.

The Service Engine light means: Go service the engine.

It's pretty straightforward.

It could be any number of things wrong with it. We can guess all we want, but unless you get the codes read, there's no way to really know.
