Default How do I reset the Chevrolet Cavalier 2001 computer ?

My father's Chevy recently would not turn on at all. He's wasted over $600 at the mechanic changing this and that and they believe it's the car's computer. The car will not turn at all. Does anyone know if this car usually has this problem? How can I reset the car's computer?

Unhook the battery is the easiest way....but make sure you know what you're doing so there's no risk of shock.

On most cars if you disconnect the battery and then turn on the headlight switch for about 5 minutes or so, that will clear all of the codes out of the computer.
