Value of a car with a salvaged title?

I found a 2002 Acura CL with 47000 miles on it, i went to look at the car and it is in good condition and runs fine. The only problem is that it has a salvaged title because the car was in an accident involving a tree, nothing big though pretty much just the front fender and thats been fixed. Anyways the person is asking for $7,000 but i know a salvaged title decreases the value of a car a lot so how much should i be looking to pay for it?

That means that the car was written off as "totaled". I wouldn't buy a vehicle with a bent frame personally. And a 2002 with only 47000 miles on it? Fishy. Consider the avg. person puts at least 10-12000 miles per year on their odometer. That car would have only about 7800 miles per YEAR. I'd have a professional mechanic check it out first to make sure it's not JB Weld'ed big time. $7000 for an '02 is pretty pricey also. When it sounds too good to be true, you can bet it always is.
