2001 saab 93 rough idle. any idea why?

2001 saab 93 rough idle. any idea why?

From time to time my check engine light will come on but does not seem to bother the performance. but tonight i got in my car to drive home and it was running great. when i turned on my street the car died and then began to run rough and try to die. i know these cars are expensive to fix diy and even worse at the dealer. anybody have any thoughts?
