Default have a 93 hyundai elantra and it was running great suddenly the ecu burnt up?

replaced it with one from junkyard and things were fine for a few days and then i smell something hot and the ecu is very hot to touch. no fuses are blowing and everything works. what should I look for? other than something grounded. It has a 1.8 16 valve DOHC
