How many catalytic converters are on an '89 Lincoln Town Car?

It looks like I have 4 but others say that it's not possible. Did anyone ever hear of true dual exhaust with front left and right converters and rear left and right converters, then a single muffler? It sounds confusing but I'll add more details if needed. Thanks.
