Default Can someone explain to me about this Paddle Shifting?

i dont really know anything about cars and i dont get how this Paddle Shifting works for the Automatic Transmission 2009 Acura TSX.

It says it has a Sequential Sport Shift, which i dont get what that is.
heres the info about it

-Whether you want to take full command of the Sequential SportShift transmission or just make a quick passing maneuver, the steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters deliver quick precise shifts at your fingertips.
-While driving in "D," a tap of the paddle shifter will bring a quick upshift or downshift and then return to automatic operation once at a steady speed.

-Selecting "S" puts the transmission into full manual mode, where you’ll direct all further shifting.

so, like is it supposed to shift your gears into reverse, drive, and parking? is that what the paddle shifters do. or does it actually change the car into seriously manuel mode, and you have to keep shifting to speed up,cus thatd seriously be awesome.

theres no way a car can be both auto and manual, what it means is you have complete freedom over selecting gears. leaving it in d and going at it will cause the car to eventually use better judgement and put it in whatever gear it should be in,
'manual mode' will not technically 'force' you to continually shift up, as when you get near red lining it will auto shift, not allowing you to blow your engine to pieces. Also this consists stricly of gears 1-5 maybe 6 if youre lucky. it will also help you shift down as you lose speed. you will not be forced to go down from 6 to 1 then into r, nor will it give you neutral. and ther is no such thing as "park" on a manual car.

hope that helps.
