Should I buy a scooter?

I can't afford a car, a scooter is cheaper and i'm sick of using public transport. Just wondering if anybody else has a scooter and can tell me if there any good? I was thinking of buying a 50CC chinese made scooter.

A 50 cc scooter will only go about 40 mph max speed, get a 150 cc for around town and if you are going to use the freeways get a 250 cc or bigger. I have a 150 cc and use it in town only and it works great it will do 55 mph on flat ground. This is my scooter http://charlie-son.com/CSJCL150B.aspx
