Default how to get horse power out of a 1989 chevrolet 350?

ok i got a 1989 chevrolet 350 carb motor. i want to put sum horses to the ground but dont really want to buy a new motor or a crate ? help?

You could upgrade the camshaft, but then you would need to upgrade the intake and exhaust as well, in order to benefit from the new cam. If it doesn't already have a 4-barrel carb on it, then that would be a good upgrade too.
