(91 Octane unleaded Premium ya know that Shell V-Power) now normally i just put in (86 Octane Unleaded) i just thought maybe i would get more miles to the gallon anyways is it safe for my engine? even if i normally use 86 i mean its not dangerous to switch back and fourth right i wont hurt the engine or anything right?

in an 88 it probably wont hurt anything but your wallet. I tried it with my dodge v-6. No difference at all in mileage. it just cost more.

During your break in period you should drive the thing like you normally would and use the fuel that you normally will.
This way you will make sure the seals get a good seal with your normal driving techniques.

Goodluck

no higher octane really has no big benefits, but if it is reccommended by the maker, then definately use it. but on an 88 it will have no benefit and will also not hurt your car...
