I saw an A class at a body shop about a week ago, is that the SMART car?

There was an A170 at the body shop next door to the transmission place I had to take my car. I thought to myself, that's the smallest Mercedes I've ever seen. But recently I've been offered a good deal on a E class wagon, so I thought I'd read up to do some research. In my reading, though, people have been saying that the A series is not sold in the U.S.

So, where can you get these things? Canada? Also, is this the SMART car that you can buy in Canada that you cannot buy in the U.S.? Or did someone pay a lot of money to import it from Germany?

no, its been out for a lil while. but not here in the states. its just an economy car.
