how long before the timing belt needs to be replaced usually? (or how many miles) it is a 2.2 liter, 4 cyl., 4 door with only 109,000 miles and had an older woman for an only owner. tell me anything else you think would be helpful also, good or bad. thanks!

ask the previous owner if they did ever change the belt? if not then yes i highly suggest you get your belt replaced. make sure its had a tune up, new spark plugs, air filter, all fluids have been flushes = brake, power steering, tranmission fluid.

great time, my friend has a tundra and the manual recommends to change it every 4 years or every 100,000-150,000 mi.

100,000 miles sounds like a good time to replace it, but I bet the old one looks just like new.
