HELP! i need to convince my dad to get me a cabrio?

i found a 1999 cabrio with ONLY 53,000 miles! i need to convince him to get me a convertible. this will be my first car and he said the car is in perfect condition for a 99 and it has low miles. he said he is weary about the convertible part. help me out! can you give me some pros and cons of having this car. i live in new jersey so the winters aren't too too cold. i need to convince him!!!! help!!! i'm so close to getting it!

I had a Cabrio and the power convertible roof broke. It was too expensive to fix (over a grand). I had three exhaust systems in 7 years. The cruise control broke, the leather receded off from the doors, all the knobs/dials fell off, it rusted through the door, and all in all, the car was pretty much a piece of junk.
