Is it worth buying this subaru for this deal?

Its a 1996 Subaru Impreza L wagon. The Pros: Power locks, Power doors, power steering, reliable, decent gas milege, 150,000km. The cons: Both front air bags are torn apart, the car pulls over to the right too much, all four tires have only about 20 percent tread left on them. I'm buying it from my uncle who is about to throw it away because he just purchased a 2007 Maxima. I'm 18 and he said he will give it to me for $2,500. I looked around the internet ads and I found these cars for around $6,000-$10,000 same year.
We own 2 other cars almost bran new cars so its no big deal if this thing fails on us, although it the looks like its in decent condition.

in my opinion if you buy that thing you will spend more money just getting it fixed up other than actually driving it,
