Why won't my 1995 Saab 900 go into gear?

Why won't my 1995 Saab 900 go into gear?

It first decided not to go into 5th on the highway tonight. When I tried to start it again the next time, it would only go into 3rd & 4th. Believe me, it was fun getting it home like that. The clutch goes in fine, car runs fine otherwise. Anyone have an idea of what I'm dealing with &/or how much damage to my pocketbook I'm looking at at the mechanic?
