Default MERCURY MYSITIC 2000?

My car is not running i was driving and then it stopped but before that I would notice hesitation when pushing the gas I got it coded and they said it was the 02 sensor and the erg well i changed the erg valvue and it started but when i pushed the gas it died again and won't start what is the problem here and if i don't change the sesor will that cuase my car to not start oh yeah i also started it and put in revervse and it died also is it my pump or my filter what can I DO HELLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPP PLEASE
