Default Got my rear brakes done, and the place put a sticker on the brake fluid? WHY?

WAS I SCAMMED? Ok, so I got my rear brakes done yesterday, and the brake people put a sticker on the brake fluid holder:
"If you need to remove, please call (brake company name)

Why would they do that? I've gotten brake jobs before and this same company did NOT put a sticker on there...

Also, this morning, when I stared the engine, it made this weird screeching sound that it never has before...
Could changing the brake fluid mess up the motor?
(Sorry if I sound stupid -- I know nothing about cars)

the sticker on the reservoir is just something they probably do to prevent people from opening the cap. since brake fluid and moisture are a bad mix for your lines and the master cylinder. they put it there so you wont leave the cap open allowing moisture to get in. and the screeching sound has nothing to do with the brakes. could be one of your belts tho
