1995 Chevy Blazer and Oil Pressure Gauge Drops when Idle?

I have a 1995 Chevy Blazer Vortec 4.3 and when I stop at a light or something and go to idle the oil pressure gauge drops about 25-50%. Is that normal or no? I also just changed my alternator.

It is normal when idling for the gauge to go down significantly.?As engine revs up the oil pump pushes more oil for internal cooling
