'97 chevy s10 or '97 chevy silverado?

i'm planning on trying to find either a '97 chevy s10 or '97 chevy silverado to mainly use to haul scrap off with and use around the house in either way which ever one i find would have to be an extended cab with an automatic and preferably with a v6 would be reasonable to find one for between $1500.00 to $3500.00. thanks
i'm mainly just gonna keep it around the house and use it whenever i need to i'm also gonna look for a 2wd silverado if i decide to get one
and i may eventually turn it into a wrecker too so take that into consideration
