2003 Pontiac Grand AM GT Signal Lights not working properly?

I have a 2003 Pontiac Grand AM GT. My signal lights all the sudden stop working. One day I had to pull over to side of the street and turned my hazard lights on. I had them on for about 15 minutes. TO my surprise, the signal lights worked just fine. I got back in my car the next day and the signal lights DID NOT WORK again. I turned the hazard light back on for about 15 minutes and they worked. What could this be from? Why won’t the signal lights work unless I turn on my hazard lights? One more thing, the signal lights will only work for about 30 minutes. Can someone help me solve this problem? Thank you.
