 2001 Monte Carlo wont pass emissions (engine light on)? Hi all, 2001 Monte carlo will not pass emissions because my engine light is on. Chevy dealer and my hyper tech tool states that the EGR valve may be the issue. I was able to clear the codes and lose the engine light until 5 miles of drive time; at which the light comes back on. I have tried to get it to pass emissions with no success. Its odd because now when I shut the engine off my radiator fan stays on for about 5 minutes. Chevy wants to charge me $300 to test and replace the EGR valve. What I really need intially is a way to get this car to pass smog. Anyone got any advice for me? Thanks for your time and help      |
