My buddies 1992 Ford Ranger (manual 4 cylinder) won't start and we can't figure out the problem. Itll crank over and act like it WANTS to start but won't. We think it's in the fuel system somewhere because itll start when we sprayed ether to it; so it's not the spark. Weve changed the fuel pump, filter, and pressure regulator but still no luck. HELP PLEASE!

put more gas in it or drain what is there now and start over.... just because the gage says ful dont mean it is best to check.. if it starts with a spray then your not getting fuel.. pull a lione and try cranking if it sprays maybe bad gas

OK on the fuel rail to the injectors there is a needle valve under a cap.. go get a piece of plastic hose or fuel line and a screw on valve lie on a bicycle pump. screw the hose on and just turn the key on. Have the hose in a bucket and if it pumps fuel at a HIGH rate shut off the key. Your issue lies in the PCU or the Cam position sensor.
