Is a Mercedes Bendz c230 Kompressor right for me?

Hi. im new to this and am looking forward to any advice possible. I am 17 years old, soon to be 18. Have a reliable job, live in an upper middle class town about an hour outside of New York. I was given a 1991 Ford Taurus for my 16th birthday, while some of my classmates got BMW's, Mercedes, Lexus and other nicer, newer cars. I swear that I'm not like these people from the city..

Anyway. I've came to the conclusion that what i have saved up would only get me another hunk of junk car, or would give me a nice down payment on a newer car. So at first I was thinking small cheap cars. But common sense told me to go for the luxury. So I started looking around. I found a very nice C230 Kompressor for 11g's. I know I can get the money and make the monthly payments... so heres the thing!

Should I go for this 6 year old Mercedes with 40 thousand miles on it? (because its more reliable and i can really run the mileage up?) or go for something else?

Well benz is a really nice car... But... when you need something fixed just know it's goning to cost a lot of money. I have a lexus that i've been trying to sell because to repair is going to be twice more what i paid for it. I would recommend more like a newer Honda. They last years more and are not such a pain to repair. But i can understand the want for german luxury, (i was tricked into a touareg that is so expensive) they r very nice but very costly. so think be4 you make your decision.

im in the same delima!!! i just turned 18 & i have already had one hunk of junk & a 03 montero buuut it got stolen sooo i have about $2300 saved up & theres a little red c230 that i want or an 06 mazda 3 for the same price (10,000) & i have nooo idea what to do good luck!
