Help with using a paddle shift?

My brother owns a Mitsubishi Lancer GTS and it came with a paddle shift, can someone help explain how to use it step by step?

if you have owned a manual before all you do is shift as were you shift in a manual your just not hitting a clutch or taking your and off the steering wheel, your just hitting the paddle shifter.

If you haven't owned a manual you have alot of learning to do, because i do not know what the redline is on the Lancer i couldn't tell you were to shift but usually you hit it around 3,000-3500 RPM's
